In just a few short days, you’ll be throwing on a flannel shirt, a jacket, and a pair of boots. Your kids will be breaking out their favorite costumes. Whether they are planning to be a ninja, a superhero, a princess, or a ghost, chances are that going trick or treating is about to become one of your family’s top priorities. At Dakota Farms Family Restaurant, we have a few tips for how to make the most of your Halloween night. Let’s take a look!
Plan Your Route
Whether you’re in Mandan, Washburn, Williston, or Rugby, planning out a route for which homes you’d like to visit is never a bad idea. This allows you to ensure that your kids get just the right amount of time to go get their candy without feeling like they didn’t get enough fun and before they break down and just want to go home.
Grab a Bite
Of course it’s also important to make sure you have plenty to eat! Fortunately for you, we have all of the homestyle meals you’re looking for. Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast all day or you want a burger and some soup, we have you covered.
Our recommendation is to do a bit of trick or treating, swing by our family restaurant for a quick bite, and then finish up by grabbing some candy from the remaining houses that are near your own home. It’s a win/win for the kids because they get to do some Halloween exploring, eat some great food (and show off their costumes to our staff), and then get some more candy.
Enjoy Some Candy
Adults might prefer to grab one of our Famous Caramel Rolls, but the kids will likely want to head home and look through their Halloween spoils. Be sure to take inventory of the candy your kids get and figure out the best way to dole things out so they can enjoy it for a few days at least. Depending on how big their haul was, your kids might be set for weeks!
At the end of the day, we think you’ll agree that Halloween is one of the best times of the year and there’s plenty to enjoy about it. Swing on in and grab some food from one of our locations on your night out with the kids. We’ll be sure to provide you with the delicious homestyle meals you’re sure to be craving.
Be safe out there and have a Happy Halloween!
